MISSISSAUGA HOCKEY LEAGUE - GATE FEE SURVEY 2009

The MHL Gate Fee survey closed on January 15, 2010.  The results will now be complied and analyzed by the MHL and the Area Associations.  The MHL would like to thank those who completed the survey.  For more information about Gate Fees, please read below.

Every individual who attends an MHL game pays a $4.00 Gate Fee to gain entrance to any MHL sanctioned regular season or playoff game. (Spectators 15 years of age and younger or 60 years of age and older are not required to pay Gate Fees). The revenue generated from Gate Fees pays for League costs as opposed to Registration Fees (paid at the beginning of the season), which are paid to your respective Association and cover those specific costs. The following chart provides a basic outline of where Gate and Registration fees are allocated:

History of the Gate Fee

The MHL Gate Fee was increased to $4.00 (from $3.00) at the beginning of the 2004-2005 season. When it was introduced at $4.00, it was stated that this would be held “as is” for 3 full seasons. In fact, the MHL has been able to hold it
