MHL 'A' Teams Participating in the GTHL Playdowns

The GTHL Playdowns will be taking place on February 17 - 19, 2010 in Scarborough, Mississauga, and Toronto.  The regular season champions from the 'A' divisions will be facing off in a 3 game round robin against teams from the GTHL West, GTHL East, and Scarborough Hockey Association.

Prime Time Ice Available - City of Mississauga

The City of Mississauga has prime time ice available for rent at various dates and venues between Monday, February 22nd, 2010 through to Thursday, March 18th, 2010.  To check for availability, please visit www.connect2rec.ca .  To book ice time through the City of Mississauga, please call 905-615-4100 and select "2" for bookings.  Please hurry, as these prime times won't last long!!

Ice Available - Saturday, Feb.13th & 20th - Valleys

The MHL has ice available on Saturday, February 13th and 20th at the Valleys.  On February 13th ice is available from 3:30pm - 4:30pm and on February 20th from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.  The ice is available only for MHL practices or sanctioned Exhibition Games.  If you are interested in booking any of the above ice times, please contact Alexa Mattie, Coordinator - League Schedule & Communications at:  alexa.mattie@hockey.on.ca or by phone: (905) 607-1118.

OHF Bursary Program - 2010

Applications for the OHF Bursary Program are now available.  The OHF Bursary Program will provide $26,000 in financial assistance to OHF registered participants to help offset the cost of post secondary education.

Family Day - City of Mississauga Facilities

The City of Mississauga is running many drop-in programs (swimming, fun skate, basketball, karate, etc.) on Monday, February 15th, 2010 at various local recreation centres, pools, and arenas across the city.  You can purchase a Family Day pass for only $6.50 and enjoy a variety of programs.  For more information, call (905) 615 - 4100 or visit www.mississauga.ca/familyday

MHL Playoffs
January 11, 2010

The MHL Playoffs are quickly approaching.  To find out more information on the Playoff Formats and tentative start dates, please Click Here.  MHL games will take place on Family Day,  Monday, February 15th.  The MHL has a full week of games during the March Break period.  If you are going to be away during that period, notfiy your coach as soon as possible so the team can make arrangements for affiliates.    Please continue to check the MHL Regular Season and Playoff Schedules on Bladenet as some loops will be starting their playoff schedules earlier than others. 

2010 Ontario Coaches Conference

March Break Camps at Cawthra Arena

Cawthra Arena is holding some March Break Hockey Camps at their facility.  They are hosting a Goalie Camp with Dry-land Training, Hockey Skills Camp with Dry-land Training, and Mini Hockey Skills with Dry-land Training.  The Goalie and Hockey Skills camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm each day, while the Mini Hockey Skills runs from 9am - 12pm each day.  To register, please visit www.connect2rec.ca .   Click here for details. 

Upcoming Majors Games - Paint the Rink Pink & Family Day Game

On Friday, February 12th, 2010, the St.Michael's Majors will be hosting their 3rd Annual Paint the Rink Pink game to help raise funds for Breast Cancer research and support.  Don Cherry, the host of Hockey Night in Canada has confirmed that he will take part in the opening ceremonies.

MHL Inclement Weather Policy

In instances when the jurisdiction of the Mississauga Hockey League is subjected to severe weather that requires consideration of the cancellation of the MHL League games, the MHL will follow certain notification procedures.  Click here for the notification procedures.
