Pro Hockey Life Minor Novice Fun Day - December 5, 2009

The Mississauga Hockey League will host the Pro Hockey Life - Minor Novice Fun Day for all Minor Novice House League teams on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Erin Mills Arena. Players will be treated to an hour of on-ice fun and games. (No regular season League games will be scheduled on December 5th for these teams and no points will be awarded on this day). Souvenirs, Boston Pizza pizza and great hockey memories are the goal of the day.

Port Credit Hockey Association's 50th Anniversary
November 19, 2009

Port Credit Hockey Association will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary on Saturday, November 21st at Port Credit Arena.  The opening ceremonies will be from 10:15am - 11:15am.  Special guests include Johnny Bower and John Holland, they dropped the first official puck in 1959.  Also featured will be live music from the 50's with Little Peter & the Elegants.  Some of Port Credit's MHL home games will be taking place throughout the day at Port Credit Arena.  Come out and celebrate Port Credit Hockey Association's 50th Anniversary! 

Credit Valley Wolves Association Night at the St.Michael's Majors

The Credit Valley Wolves will be having their Association night at the St.Michael's Majors game on Friday, November 20th, 2009.  The St.Michael's Majors will be taking on their rival, the Niagara Ice Dogs at 7:30pm at the Hershey Centre Main Bowl. 

MHL Game Schedules
November 19, 2009

Currently the MHL game schedules are posted up to and including December 23, 2009.  There will be MHL games for House League between December 27 - 30 and those game schedules will be posted shortly.  There will be no MHL games on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and January 1. 

Please regularly check the MHL Games Centre for scheduling updates as changes in date, venue, and times can change occasionally.

Message from the City of Mississauga - White Pucks
October 26, 2009

Those teams using white pucks for practices are being asked to check that all of the pucks are collected prior to leaving their scheduled ice time.  White pucks are especially difficult for the arena staff to see when flooding the ice and has caused damage to their ice resurfacing machines in the past.  Any damage caused by the white pucks will be at the expense of the team.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation. 

2009-2010 Discipline Emphasis

The MHL and the 8 Area Associations are moving to reduce the on-ice penalties involving fighting, hitting from behind, checking to the head, trash talking, verbal abuse of officials and other major infractions.  The goal of the MHL is to make sure the players have a fun and safe experience. Any Coach or Player who receives a GM20, GM21, or GM30 during the 3rd period of any MHL sanctioned game, will incur 1 additional game in their suspension.

The MHL is proud to announce an on-line option that will allow all volunteers to get a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.  The Mississauga Hockey League has endorsed myBackCheck.com as their official online Criminal Record Check provider.
